my curry night haiku:
curry, rice and naan
tears of joy and flatulence
the best meal each week
well, tonight for dinner we had curry and oh boy it is always delicious. i had the chickpea curry, rice, naan bread, and like 4 samosas. UGH so yumm.
At breakfast we made pretty much a Hunger Games fanfic or at least the rough outline of one but of everyone here in the cohort. It was like SFS WET '25 Hunger Games. I obviously did not make it to the end, but that was to be expected. Maybe I will synthesize it in my blog, although it deserves its own whole post. We got a little too into it and had to take a step back and realize, we are writing about brutally murdering our peers. It was very fun though.
Today we went to this nice lady's property to collect more bryophyte samples. Her name is Andi Cairns and she is like a bryophyte expert pretty much and we were just sitting in her living room while she was talking to us about bryophytes - it was so epic. She shared so many stories and I was just in awe of her pretty much. She just looked at these photos we had taken and knew what type of moss it was. Epic stuff.
Me and Jaly went with David into the field. And that man can move! I was following him around with the plant press collecting vascular plant samples and Jaly was collecting bryophyte samples. David would sometimes yell out "Caelon!" or "Jaly!" and call us over to press something, get a GPS reading, or collect a cool bryophyte. We found two specimen of an endangered plant so that was actually really cool. I wrote it down in my notes somewhere...i'll add it to tomorrow's post (if i remember).
OH! Also before that we had a workshop on video editing in capcut for the 6 minute video we need to present at the end. If you know my past of making edits on my ipad, you may know i can handle my own against capcut (at least on my ipad).
